Library Services Desk

James C. Kirkpatrick Library is open to the UCM community and the public. The Library Services Desk is located on the first floor and is open during all hours of library operation to serve our patrons.  

This desk handles these services:

  • Research assistance for students, faculty, staff and the general public
  • Checkout, renew and return library books, journals and movies
  • Pick up and drop off of book holds, MOBIUS materials, and Interlibrary Loan materials
  • Access Course Reserve material instructors have at the library
  • Assistance with library fines and lost materials fees
  • Rent lockers

Accessing "My Library Account"

Every UCM student, faculty member and staff person has an account with JCKL.  You can access the "My Library Account" to:

  • See a list of the items you have checked out
  • Renew your holdings to extend the due date
  • Monitor your requests for JCKL materials or available through the Missouri Library consortium, MOBIUS
  • Create a reading history

Creating a "My Library Account" PIN

To access your "My Library Account" you will need to create a PIN as a security feature. 

Type the characters you want for your PIN into the box and click Submit. This will send you to the creation screen. (The system will not allow a combination of characters that would be easily guessed like – 11111 or abababa, for example and you are limited to 30 characters.)

Type the PIN again in the two boxes provided and click submit. Now your new PIN will be active and can be used in the future to access your account.
