Folders

Resources are put into the My Library list, so it is a good idea to organize using file folder.  To create a new folder follow the steps below.

  • Right click My Library
  • Click New Collection
  • Name the Collection
  • Subcollections can be created by right clicking the Collection and them click New Subcollection

Sources can be moved to the folders by dragging and dropping them or by right clicking the source in the middle pane and selecting Add to Collection.

 

Middle and Right Pane

The middle pane list the resources stored in Zotero.  The right pane allows viewing and editing of the metadata for each entry.  Notes can also be created in the right pane.  Any notes, screenshots, or files will be list by clicking on the arrow to the left of the source.

Descriptive columns can be added by right clicking the visible columns.  The sources can be sorted by the data in the column by left clicking the column.
