If you’ve never visited us before or need a refresher on what we have to offer, you’ve come to the right place!

James C. Kirkpatrick Library offers many resources, services, and amenities for in-person and online students as well as faculty and staff. Whether you’re needing help with research and citations, wanting a quiet place to relax or study, or looking for a specific book, JCKL has got you covered!

Here are just a few of the things the library has to offer:

  • Starting some research? The library has Research Guides on a wide variety of topics to get you started as well as over 200 Databases and Journals to use throughout your process.
  • Reach out to your Liaison Librarian for one-on-one research support, in-class instruction sessions, and more.
  • Reserve a Group Study Room in the library! Each study room is equipped with a desktop computer– some even have projectors and screens. Study rooms can be reserved for two hours a day or are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Gain new skills by taking one of our many workshops held throughout the semester. From citations to Zotero, you’re sure to learn something new!
  • Need to turn in a physical paper? The library has a WEPA printer on each floor available for the students and community for a small fee.
  • Not finding what you want? Try Inter-Library Loan! These materials can be delivered to either the UCM or MIC campuses.

The library even has a Special Collections that is home to many items available for research use. To make an appointment, please contact Maya Kucij at kucij@ucmo.edu.
