The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is a professional organization for scientists who study viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae, and protozoa as well as other aspects of microbiology. The Society publishes a variety of scientific journals, textbooks, and other educational materials related to microbiology and infectious diseases. The journals provide faculty, staff, students, and researchers access to the most comprehensive, authoritative microbial sciences resources.
