Faculty, staff and students of the University of Central Missouri have access to a wide variety of news sources. These sources can be accessed on the library’s Newspapers guide.
One of these sources is The Chronicle of Higher Education. The Chronicle is a critical source of information about the state of higher education. Library provided access includes articles posted on the Chronicle website, articles from the weekly magazine, selected datasets, podcasts, and virtual events.
More local news sources can be searched in NewsBank. NewsBank contains selected articles from The Kansas City Star, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Star Journal. More newspapers and popular magazines can be accessed through PressReader. PressReader provides access to over 7,000 titles from around the world. The issues are fully scanned and presented in full color. The PressReader app can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play stores.
Access to online New York Times is also available to UCM affiliates thanks to student government. To create an account, go to this page and find UCM in the list. You can then create an account with your UCM email address.
