AI & Plagiarism at UCM

The UCM AI Advisory Panel was formed in early 2024 to address concerns related to AI and its use in the classroom. UCM's Academic Honesty Policy was updated on October 25, 2024 to incorporate language addressing AI use.

Professors at UCM provide guidance for AI use in specific courses and assignments in their course syllabi. Students should always thoroughly read through their course syllabus at the beginning of each semester to ensure they understand the course-specific AI usage policy and clarify questions with their professor before beginning any work that utilizes AI.
