Voter Registration Comes to JCKL

by Janette Klein on 2024-09-16T06:00:57-05:00 | 0 Comments

On September 24th, join us at the James C. Kirkpatrick Library for a one-of-a-kind voter registration event with a fun, Taylor Swift theme! From 10 AM to 1 PM in our Read & Relax Area, we’re combining the energy of a Taylor Swift concert with the crucial task of getting ready to vote.

Whether you’re registering to vote for the first time or updating your registration, our library volunteers will be on hand to guide you through the process. We’ll provide all the necessary voter registration cards, absentee ballot forms, and expert tips for navigating the Secretary of State’s website. Our goal is to make sure you leave feeling confident and well-informed about your voter registration status. But that’s not all! Embrace the Swiftie vibe with our engaging activities. Create your own “Vote” bracelet at our bracelet-making station, snap some memorable photos with our Taylor Swift and James C. Kirkpatrick cutouts, and take a photo in our very own replica of James C. Kirkpatrick’s office– it’s a fantastic way to celebrate and showcase your new voter status!

This event is more than just a chance to register; it’s a celebration of your voice and democratic participation. Bring your friends, enjoy the lively atmosphere, and let’s make this day both educational and fun. We can’t wait to see you there and make this September 24th a day to remember!
