The 56th University of Central Missouri (UCM) Children’s Literature Festival is just around the corner, taking place from March 9-11. This beloved annual event will once again celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling, with a wide array of activities and guest speakers to inspire readers of all ages.
Exciting Pre-Festival Events
New this year, the Horizons initiative is sponsoring two pre-Festival events. Horizons is a cultural heritage tourism program supported by Missouri Humanities, the Missouri Arts Council (MAC), and the Missouri Division of Tourism. These events are designed to enrich the festival experience by bringing unique voices and stories to the Warrensburg community.
Keynote Speaker: Pablo Cartaya
The festival officially kicks off on Sunday, March 9, with the annual Sunday Luncheon. This year’s keynote speaker is internationally acclaimed author Pablo Cartaya. Known for his vibrant storytelling and exploration of identity, family, and culture, Pablo’s talk promises to be a highlight of the event.
