Trying to determine which database to start a search can be intimidating. With so many options, a multidisciplinary tool can be the best first step to finding the scholarly content you need to get started. ProQuest One Academic brings together articles, books, video, audio, and dissertations and theses in one convenient search tool. It includes content from multiple other ProQuest databases to widen your search and leave no stone unturned.

The platform is an uncluttered and user-friendly interface that allows users to enter a variety of search terms, limiting filters like full-text and publication date. With over 225,000 ebooks, 30,000 articles, 3 million dissertations and theses, and 80,000 streaming videos, users can find what they need in any format.

To get started, try a basic keyword search using at least two keywords or subject phrases in the Advanced Search fields. The database will automatically provide a dropdown list of suggested words and phrases based on your input. Then, check any filter boxes below the terms to limit your search to include full text, peer-reviewed articles, or any other particular formats, document types, or preferred languages.
