OverDrive and the Libby app offer UCM students, faculty, and staff access to a growing collection of fiction and non-fiction titles. Over 1400 e-books and 150 audio books are currently available in the collection. The collection focuses on popular titles, but some classical literature is available, such as the complete works of Shakespeare and over 25 Library of America volumes that collect American fiction and historical documents. Users can download titles to a variety of devices, including the Amazon Kindle.

Most e-book readers will display OverDrive books if users create a free Adobe Digital Editions account, but users can access Kindle books with only an Amazon account.  For information on how to use different platforms, see the OverDrive Getting Started page.

The easiest method to access OverDrive material is through the Libby app. The app is available for Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Chromebook.  The app will connect you to the UCM collection, validate your credentials, and allow you to read or play your content. Check out Getting Started with Libby for information on setting up the app.  Your UCM Single Sign On will be used to validate your library card in Libby. You can also connect to the collections of other libraries you have access to, such as your local public library.

Access the OverDrive site on the A to Z list or directly at https://ucmmo.overdrive.com. For assistance, contact Anthony Kaiser at akaiser@ucmo.edu
