As we navigate the vast sea of information, separating fact from fiction can be a challenging endeavor. That’s why JCKL has the resources to equip your students with proper tools to evaluate scholarly and popular information.

There are various books that can be accessed through the library, some examples are listed below.

 

The Chicago Guide to Fact-Checking, Second Edition This book provides information on fact-checking a variety of media types: newspaper; magazine; social media; public and commercial radio and television, books, films, etc. The book also helps with identifying authority in writing; recognizing plagiarism and fabrication; discerning conflicting facts, gray areas, and litigious materials; testing fact-checking skills.
