Dual Credit Resources

Resource page for UCM dual credit students.

Welcome to the Library Research Guide for Dual Credit Students. This guide will help dual credit students and their teachers connect with resources at UCM's James C. Kirkpatrick Library to find scholarly books, articles, and other library materials for their dual credit courses.

Librarians are available to answer your questions Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm CST.

  • Email: Contact Education Librarian Sara Evans at
  • Make an Appointment: Meet with a librarian one-on-one virtually or in-person for in-depth help.

University IDs

As a student of the University of Central Missouri, you should have a network ID and password that will allow you to access your university email, Blackboard, UCM WiFI, and MyCentral.  If you do not know your network ID, click on the link below.

The network ID is important for library research because it will allow you to log into the library databases.  Most journals, magazines, and newspapers are now available in a digital format accessed through subscription databases.

The network ID is also used to log on to campus computers or campus WiFi.  If you are visiting the campus, make sure you know your ID and password!

Visiting the Library (for teachers)

If you are a teacher of a dual credit class and you want to schedule a visit to the library, email Sara Evans at Rooms with computers can be reserved, a librarian can present on research skills and resources, and a librarian can be available to consult with visiting students.

Make sure that you contact the library at least TWO WEEKS before the scheduled visit. Library classrooms are often heavily booked, so the sooner the reservation request is received, the better.

Make sure dual credit students know their network IDs and passwords. They can be tested by logging into Blackboard or Google.

If some of your visiting students are not dual credit, arrangements can be made to create visitor logins for the computer lab. Advance notice of this need is essential.
