Local Digital Collections

UCM’s Local Digital Collections include scholarly work from students and faculty as well as media repositories for photos from the annual Children’s Literature Festival and digital versions of UCM’s Rhetor yearbooks.

The collection of Graduate Theses and Research Papers supplements the library’s print collections (those written prior to 2010) and includes over 500 papers authored by UCM alumni. While this repository is searchable in the library’s main catalog search, you can also search the papers directly, using the name of the student, their graduate advisor, or the title of their paper. These student papers can be helpful to current graduate students looking for help with formatting, styling, and citing their master’s theses.

The repositories of Rhetor yearbooks and photographs from past Children’s Literature Festivals can give you not only a sense of how life was like at UCM but also provide historical data for research into student life. While most years of the Rhetor are available in this collection, some may not be digitized. These can be accessed via appointment with the Director of the McClure University Archives and Museum, Amber Clifford-Napoleone at clifford@ucmo.edu or by contacting Special Collections librarian Maya Kucij at kucij@ucmo.edu.

Access UCM Digital Collections from the main Library Navigation menu under Resources. You can access student theses and dissertations by clicking the A-Z Database List and searching for “Dissertations & Theses @ University of Central Missouri”. For assistance with UCM Digital Collections, contact any of our liaison librarians.
