About this Guide

A Dictionary of Finance and Banking defines finance as "an academic discipline within the general field of economics dealing with funding, financial markets, and the funding implications for managing businesses." As such, it encompasses many specialized areas of study including

  • Corporate valuation and finance
  • Asset management
  • Risk management
  • Banking
  • Insurance
  • Real estate

This guide contains a select number of resources relating to each of the above sub-disciplines.
